PRIVACY / PLAIN LANGUAGE

Your PDFs
stay yours.

Effective September 27, 2026. This explains what Quiredeck PDF does with your documents in everyday language.

01

When you open a PDF

You choose the file. Quiredeck makes a working copy inside the app so the original is not changed by editing tools. The app may remember the file name, its location and the page you were reading so you can return to it later.

02

When you scan or read text

Scanning uses document tools provided by Android and Google Play services. The first scan may need to download the scanner support to your phone. Text reading is done on the device. Quiredeck does not send the page image or recognized words to a Quiredeck server.

03

When you use a document summary

Some supported phones can make a short English summary on the device. The phone may need to download the required support before the first use. If the feature is not available on your phone, the rest of the PDF tools still work.

04

When you save or share

You choose where a finished file is saved. If you share it, you choose the receiving app. If you pick online storage, that storage service handles the file under its own privacy rules.

05

What stays on the phone

Quiredeck may keep temporary working files, recent-file shortcuts, your theme choice and reading position. Old temporary files are cleared over time, and Android may clear them sooner. You can remove the app's stored information by clearing its app data or uninstalling it.

06

What we do not do

  • We do not ask you to create a Quiredeck account.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not run an advertising profile inside the app.
  • We do not operate a server that stores copies of your PDFs.
07

A note about other services

Android, Google Play services, a file provider, cloud drive or sharing app can handle technical information under its own rules. Quiredeck cannot control what another service does after you choose to open from it, save to it or share with it.

08

Security and sensitive documents

Only open files you trust. A watermark is not secure redaction. Removing common document details does not guarantee that every hidden trace has been erased. Review sensitive documents before sharing them.

09

Changes and contact

If Quiredeck changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated. Contact bigbangsoftware@yahoo.com for developer support.
