PLAIN-LANGUAGE POLICY
Your measurements are yours.
Axisbench is a sensor measurement app for Android. Its essential features work on your phone without an account or an internet connection.
Last updated: September 25, 2026
What the app reads
When you open a sensor, Axisbench reads the measurements that your phone's Android system provides for that sensor. These may include motion, rotation, magnetic field, atmospheric pressure, ambient light, proximity, humidity or ambient temperature, depending on your phone.
The app does not need your camera, microphone, GPS location, contacts or personal account to perform these measurements. It only reads a sensor when you open its workspace. Readings stop when you leave the workspace or the app is paused.
Where your information goes
Your saved measurement sessions are stored as CSV files in the app's private storage on your device. Axisbench does not upload them to us or another server. The app does not include advertising, analytics or tracking services, and it does not request internet access.
Basic appearance and sampling-rate preferences are saved on your device. Android's system services and the hardware itself may process sensor data as part of operating your phone.
Exporting and sharing
When you choose Export, Android lets you pick a destination. If you select a cloud storage provider, that provider may upload your exported CSV under its own terms. When you choose Share, you select another app, which then handles the copy you share. These actions are optional and are not controlled by Axisbench after you hand off the file.
Deleting your information
You can delete individual recorded sessions on the Saved tab or delete all sessions in Settings. Uninstalling the app normally removes its private local files. Exported or shared copies must be deleted separately wherever you placed them. Axisbench does not create an online account that needs deletion.
Permissions and children
Axisbench reads ordinary Android sensors without requesting access to your location, camera or microphone. It uses Android's system file picker for CSV exports rather than requesting broad access to your files. It is an educational measurement app for a general audience and is not intended as a child-directed service.
